Lincoln County commissioners this week signed an Emergency Disaster proclamation for rainfall that began June 24 of this year.
Some areas reportedly received up to 15-16 inches, commissioners have reported.
County Commission Chairman Lee Doolen said the proclamation seeks $100,000 per district for each of the three commissioner districts. “It’s a one time a year that is allowed,” Doolen explained, adding, “Federal FEMA funds aren’t not going to happen.”
Commissioners voted to accept a VOIP proposal for Lincoln County for phone and internet services. It’s estimated to save the county at least $14,000 a year.
They also approved a month-to-month contract with AT&T for phone service at this time.
Meeting as the Lincoln County Educational Facilities Authority, they adopted a resolution approving and renewing the sublease agreement between the Authority and the Board of Education of the Stroud School District.
They named Doolen as chairman of the Authority and County Commission vice chairman Carl Munson as vice chairman of the Authority; they approved the annual audit; and authorized County Clerk Alicia Wagnon to go out for proposals on next year’s audit.
They also approved OMMA certificates of compliance for the following businesses: Bedrock Acres LLC, Wild West Organics LLC, Mother Earth Farms LLC, Super Duck Growers LLC, Green Dragon Star, Magic Farms LLC, Midland Cannabis, S Flowers LLC, Dankifornia Exotics LLC, Pearl River Growing LLC, and Grand Prairie LLC.
County Clerk Alicia Wagnon advised the commissioners Green Relief Grow LLC is in the city limits of Stroud and needs to be referred back to them.
