County passes budget

Lincoln County commissioners during their meeting this week approved a $11 million budget for Fiscal Year 2021-2022.

County Clerk Alicia Wagnon said the budget totals $11,487,040.12.

Commission Chairman Lee Doolen said the budget includes a $100 per month pay raise for each employee.

Commissioners also adopted a revised resolution to set the effective date of redistricting to Jan, 1, 2022.

Following a brief executive session, the commissioners agreed to continue with the purchase of real property.

They took no action on appointing Fair Board members from District 1 and 3.

In other business, commissioners: Took no action on a new map certified by ODOT.

Approved the purchase order and verification of payment for the Arlington Fire CDBG Grant.

They also approved the closeout documents and verification of payments for Sparks and Merrick REAP grants.

Approved safety bonuses for those employees who qualified.

Approved the 2022 meeting schedule for the Board of County Commissioners. Wagnon pointed out meetings are scheduled for the first and third Mondays of the month except when it falls on a holiday and then the meeting will be on Tuesday.

Approved an agreement with the USDA for a project in District 2.

Adopted the 2022 Holiday schedule for Lincoln County. Wagnon mentioned that June 19 is a new holiday as declared by President Joe Biden.

Heard Canadian Valley Cooperative officials make a presentation on a fiber optic project in Lincoln County.

Approved all of the following: new Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority Compliance Certificates for Green Thumb Shawty LLC, M&S Califlower LLC, Stuff 420 LLC and Sweethome Cannabis Nursery LLC.

Renewal OMMA Compliance Certificates for Earth Research Labs, Harmony Cannabis Co., Seek the Truth Farms LLC and Uncle Sang LLC.

OMMA Change of Location applications for Criminal Genetics LLC, Fuqi LLC and Sweet Leaf Cultivation LLC.
