Deferred sentence

A Shawnee woman faces a felony count of driving while under the influence of alcohol following her arrest in Prague earlier this year has entered a guilty plea received a deferred sentence.

Formal charges were filed Jan. 6, 2025 in Lincoln County District Court against Angelina Elaine Bell, 26. Her bond was set at $5,000 and she made her initial appearance on Jan. 16.

Appearing this week before District Judge Sarah Bridge, and as the result of a plea bargain, Bell pleaded guilty. The court found the defendant guilty as charged and deferred sentencing for a period of three years.

The judge handed her a $100 judicial assessment, $100 VCA and court costs and ordered her to pay 991 fees.

Judge Bridge placed her on supervised probation with Oklahoma Court Services, ordered an interlock device for nine months and for her to completed a drug and alcohol assessment and follow all recommendations.

Bell was ordered to complete 24 hours of Community Service and for her to report to the Probation Office and Court Clerk’s Office within five days.

The charge alleged that Bell on Jan. 1 this year was driving and operating a certain vehicle over and on a public highway at 5th Street and Jim Thorpe in Prague while she was under the influence of intoxicating alcohol.
