Jimmie Rae Brownfield, 14, set her third national record this month at the 24th USPF Crain Powerlifting Championships in Shawnee.
A 109-pounder competing in the 114-pound class, she bench-pressed 85 pounds, a new record to go along with two previous American records she set in the deadlift.
In addition to powerlifting, Jimmie’s interests are basketball, softball, FFA and bull riding.
She is an 8th-grader at Davenport and is the daughter of Kim Brownfield and Mary Yancey. Kim is a national powerlifting record-holder who doubles as her coach.
