The Kendrick Fire Department will hold its annual pig roast on Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Kendrick Fire Station. It’ll be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event is being sponsored by the Davenport Masonic Lodge.
The event has continually grown over the years and is set to be bigger this year. All proceeds will go to operating costs and equipment for the fire department. Tickets are $10 for people over the age of 12 and $5 for children under the age of 12. Veterans’ meals will be provided by the fire department.
This year’s menu features pulled pork, baked beans, potato salad, pickle platters and desserts.
There will also be door prizes and an auction of items donated by local merchants, as well as baked goods made by the firefighters’ wives and others. Prizes include a $100 Walmart gift card and five $20 Walmart gift cards. Tickets for door prizes are $1 or six for $5. You can purchase them from any Kendrick firefighter or at the dinner.
