Letters to Veterans

For the last two years,we have asked area high school students to write open letters to veterans.

This year, we asked seniors from the Chandler High School band, the Meeker Bulldogs, the Stroud Tigers and the Chandler Lions.

Here are their letters:

Dear Veterans, Thank you for all your sacrifices you have made to keep us alive, protected, and free. Thank you for also risking and changing your lives in so many ways.

I also want to thank you for all the long days and work you have put into saving our country.

We wouldn’t have what we have today if it weren’t for your bravery and strength.

First off, I would like to say thank you.

Thank y’all for fighting for our freedom. Without y’all we wouldn’t be safe, y’all are the heart of this country.

It takes real courage to leave everything behind and go off and fight for your country!

Dear Veterans, I want to express my appreciation for your selfless service to our country.

Your commitment to defending our freedom is deeply appreciated. Your sacrifices and dedication have made a great impact on our nation and we are forever grateful.

Thank you for being an inspiration and a role model, and thank you for your dedication, hard work and bravery.

It means a lot to me for those who have and who are fighting for us.

Dear Veterans, This November 11th I am so honored to say “Thank you, Veterans.”

Your sacrifices and service have made our lives as we know them possible.

This Veterans Day I hold you all close to my heart and in my thoughts.

It takes a lot for someone to go do what y’all had to do and it doesn’t go unnoticed.

The sacrifices y’all made to keep our country safe and free takes a lot out of someone.

Not everyone is able to do the things you had to do and for that I am so thankful.
