Lincoln County Commissioners

Lincoln County commissioners have approved a donation resolution from LC Citizens Alliance for postage to mail the Public Notice regarding Wind Turbines.

StateRep.KevinWallaceaddressedthecommissioners and others in attendance and discussed the National Guard Operations Center in Chandler in its relation to the proposed wind turbines.

He indicated the impact may be more substantial than was first indicated.

But Wallace noted a wind study takes two or three years, predicting there will be more legislation regarding wind turbines in the future.

The veteran state representative indicated the wind turbines companies have not turned in any maps to the Oklahoma Corporation Commission or the State Aeronautics Commission which is required After opening bids for a Road 3500 Asphalt overlay, commissioners voted to table any action until their next meeting, Sep. 3.

They agreed to Memorandum of Understandings with Gateway to Prevention and Recovery, Chosen House and Jeremiah House for the Opioid Abatement grant.

They approved using the Opioid Settlement account to pay the deposit for the Lincoln County Cares community awareness luncheon.

In other business, commissioners: Voted to renew 781 funding through the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse for Fiscal Year 2025.

Held off taking any action on additional cleaning services from JaniKing.

Adopted a resolution for declaration of surplus for District 1 and the Health Department.

Approved resolutions for disposing of equipment for District 1 and the Health Department.

Adopted a resolution accepting job fair donations in the County Clerk’s Office.

Approved the Purchase Card Payment Approval form.
