Rylee Beatty, Pamela Wood and Calista Schardt have been named Lions of the Month for the month of March.

Rylee Beatty is the daughter of Jennifer and Ralph “Bo” Pryor and Danny Beatty and has five siblings.

After graduation, Rylee plans to attend the cosmetology program at Gordon Cooper Technology Center or enlist in the United States Air Force.

Rylee was a state qualifier in cross country for three years and an FFA Greenhand for two years. She has competed in cross country for four years, track for four years and wrestling for one year. Rylee is also a member of the Native American Student Association (NASA), FFA, Peer Mentor Program, BancFirst Student Board of Directors and Rotary Club.

She’s volunteered with Chandler Sweeps, Chamber Banquet, Alumni Banquet and Bash for Cash, and has been an aide at Greenfield Day Camp since she was 12.

Pamela Wood is the daughter of Geoffrey Wood and Linda Rivera. She has three older brothers, two older sisters, one younger sister and two younger brothers.

She plans to pursue a career in law and will attend a university located somewhere in Oklahoma that offers the best educational opportunities for her field of study.

Pamela has a 3.5 GPA and has been enrolled in AP English for both her junior and senior years. She is a member of Rotary Club, fastpitch softball, slowpitch softball and Future Farmers of America (FFA).

Pamela has volunteered in programs such as the Chain of Love, community- oriented markets, Veteran’s Day programs, American Legion markets and local donation opportunities.

Calista Schardt is the daughter of Chuck and Tracy Schardt.

After graduation, she plans to attend a trade school to get her cosmetologist license or dental hygienist license. She would like to start her own business eventually.

Schardt has competed in varsity cheerleading since 2021 and was the regional champion for the 2022-23 school year.

She’s also qualified for state in cheerleading every year since 2021. Schardt is also a member of FCCLA (2022-2024) and PSI (2022-2023).

Her community involvement includes volunteering at the Chandler Area Chamber of Commerce’s Crawfish Boil for four years and the Lincoln County Ice Cream Festival for three years. She’s also donated soup and baked goods and volunteered at the Soup Da Doup fundraiser for a teammate battling cancer.

Schardt has donated pumpkin baskets to the East Side Elementary Reading Night, soap and other items to the Children Crisis Center, items to the Pearl House, volunteered at the Wise Guy Girl Power event and prepared food at Stamp Out Starvation.
