A reported explosion and fire damaged a metal shop building earlier this week, hurting one person who was inside.
Lincoln County Emergency Management Deputy Director Charlotte Brown, who responded to the scene, said the shop building was located on 1010 Road and approximately 3340 Road.
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Sgt. Aaron Bennett said it sounds like it started from a wood burning stove with paint cans and other flammable substances on top of the stove.
He said the shop was 40 feet by 40 feet.
Brown confirmed one person was taken by ambulance from the scene. Bennett said the individual reportedly was treated for burned hands.
