Prague High School has announced its valedictorians and salutatorian for the class of 2023.
Valedictorians are Kyler Kinslow, Kaden Simons, Cameron Hightower, Kayla Martin, Jaylee Friend, Courtney Brydon, Ayleen Vazquez and Avery Terrell. The salutatorian is Benjamin Foster.
Kyler Kinslow
Kyler Kinslow is the son of Kim and Matt Kinslow. He has attended Prague schools for 12 years. He has a 4.0 GPA and has received awards for Baseball athlete of the week, superintendents honor roll, and attended boys state. He has been active in Business Professionals of America, Youth for Christ, National Honor Society, Student Council, BancFirst Board, and Future Farmers of America. He has been involved in the community by helping at care closet and youth group. Kyler is employed at sonic and his plans for after high school are to attend Rogers State University.
Kyler Kinslow
Kaden Simons is the daughter of Bonnie and Chad Simons. She has attended Prague schools for 13 years. She has a 4.0 GPA. She has been active in National Honors Society. Kaden has been involved with the community by volunteering with Citizen Potawatomi Nation Child Development Center when they host events. Her plans after high school graduation are to attend Seminole State to finish her health science degree, then go to Moore Norman Tech to become a RDMS.
Cameron Hightower
Cameron Hightower is the son of Holly and Todd Hightower. He has attended Prague schools for 13 years. He has a 4.0 GPA and has received awards including Academic all Conference twice, Boys State Delegate, basketball and football captain, The Dr. H.D. Chortun award for outstanding citizenship, Class President, and student body president. He has been active in National Honors Society, Student Government, and Bank Board. He has been involved with the community by helping with basketball camp and by being a crossing guard on Halloween. Cameron is employed at Ken’s Pizza and his plans after high school graduation are to attend Rogers State University and major in political science and minor in economics.
Kayla Martin
Kayla Martin is the daughter of the late Karen Hamilton. She has attended Prague schools since the 7th grade. She has a 4.0 GPAand has received awards including 1st place state level for Nursing assistant and top 28 internationally, National Honors Society, NationalTechnical Honors Society, Outstanding Clinical student, lions club award, and superintendents honor roll. She has been active inArt Club, meals in the park, and prom committee. She has been active in the community by handing out meals in the park, organizing and volunteering at blood drives, coats for kids, organized can food drive, help make kolaches, decorate downtown windows, decorate homecoming float, and helped with Vacation Bible School. Kayla is employed at Parkland Manor Living Center as a CNA. Her plans after high school graduation are to attend LPN school and then continue onto RN school through Seminole State.
Jaylee Friend
Jaylee Friend is the daughter of Lacy and Ryan Friend. She has attended Prague schools for 14 years. She has a 4.0 GPAand has received awards including HOBY delegate, Girls State delegate, Lions Club Award of excellence in world History, Government, Chemistry, AP English, and Algebra 2, Outstanding Junior, BancFirst Bank board, Vision Bank Bank board, Superintendents honor roll, Academic all Conference 2021, Fastpitch All-District 2nd team 2021, fastpitchAll-Conference 2020, Fastpitch All-District 2022, and Fastpitch All-Conference 2022. She has been active in Softball, cheer, National Honor Society, Business Professionals of America, Student Council, Youth for Christ, Future Farmers of America, Bancfirst Financial Leadership Board, and Vision Bank Financial Leadership board. She has been involved in the community with FBC Prague youth group. Jaylee’s plans after high school graduation are to either attend Rogers State University and major in Occupational Therapy or attend Seminole State College and go into the Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
Courtney Brydon
Courtney Brydon is the daughter of Doug and Maria Brydon. She has attended Prague Public Schools for 13 years. Brydon is involved in National Honor Society, Student Council, Business Professionals ofAmerica, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Academic Team, Varsity Cheer,Yearbook, St. BenedictYouth Group, Vision Bank Student Board of Directors, BancFirst Student Board of Directors and Oklahoma High School Honor Society. She has been named Girls State delegate, Junior Honor Escort, HOBY Delegate, Student of the Month and has been named to the Superintendent Honor Roll. Her community involvement includes Little League Cheer Coach and Kolache Festival. At the Kolache Festival she helps bake kolaches to sell at the festival and helps teach folk dances to younger kids. Her future plans are to attend the University of Oklahoma to get a degree in business and go to law school.
Ayleen Vazquez
Ayleen Vazquez is the daughter of Victor and Jessica Ceballos. She has attended Prague High School since Kindergarten. She has received Chamber of Commerce Student of the Month;AcademicAll-Conference in Cross Country; Lions Club awards for Spanish, History and Graphic Design; Superintendent Honor Roll; Athlete of the Week; and Prague Educational Boosters Student of the Month. Vazquez is involved in band, cross country, basketball, track, student council, Business Professionals of America, National Honor Society, Prom Committee, Graphic Design,Vision Bank Student Board of Directors, BancFirst Student Board of Directors, Youth for Christ and Oklahoma Energy Resources Student Board. Her community involvement includes canned food drives, multiple sports camps, town Halloween activities, blood drives, regional food bank and cancer awareness. Vazquez’s future plans are to future her education at the University of Central Oklahoma by double majoring in accounting and finance.
Avery Terrell
Avery Terrell is the daughter of Michelle and Darren Terrell. She has attended Prague schools for 13 years. She has a 4.0 GPA and has received awards including Lion’s Club awards in English, Composition, Biology, Multimedia, Ag Communications, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Internship, and Horticulture, Girls State Delegate, HOBY delegate, Superintendents honor roll, Oklahoma Honor Roll, Band Sweepstakes, Future Farmers of America Star Chapter Degree, and Academic excellence. She has been active in Future Farmers of America, Student Council, Business Professionals of America, Youth for Christ, National Honor Society, Band, Vision Bank Financial leadership council, and BancFirst Student Board. Her community involvement includes serving monthly at Salvation army, participating in canned food drives, feeding veterans, helping with a blood drive, and read-a-thon for elementary kids. Avery’s plans after high school graduation are to attend the University of Central Oklahoma and double major in Psychology and Nursing to become a psychiatric nurse.
Benjamin Eric Foster
Benjamin Eric Foster is the son of Chad and Stacey Foster. He has attended Prague Public Schools since Kindergarten. He currently maintains a 3.98 GPA. Foster has been named Prague Education Boosters-Student of the Month; Hugh O’Brein Youth Leadership Award and delegate; Prague Chamber of Commerce Student of the Month; and Seminole State College Gear Up Delegate. He has also received Prague Lions Club Awards in History, Algebra, Computer Science and Trigonometry and has been named to the Superintendent’s Honor Roll for four years.HeisinvolvedinPragueFutureFarmersofAmerica, Prague Business Professionals of America, National Honor Society, Prague High School Student Council, Prague High School Book Club, BancFirst Student Board of Directors, Vision Bank Financial Leadership Council and Pride of Prague Band. His community involvement includes Prague High School Leadership Class where they picked up trash at the local park, National Honor Society canned food drive, Prague High School student Council Coat Drive, donating blood through Oklahoma Blood Institute and Prague High School Business Professionals of America-soldier gift baskets. Foster’s future plans are to attend Seminole State College for an Associates Degree and then transfer to a 4 year university to complete a Bachelor’s degree.
