Prague man faces felony firearm charge

A Prague man who has been convicted of at least six previous felonies faces a new felony dealing with a firearm charge.

Jerry Dale McAnally, Jr., 40, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court Feb. 20, 2025 with possession of firearm or imitation firearm after former felony conviction.

He appeared before District Judge Sarah Bridge March 4. She has scheduled his prepreliminary hearing for 9 a.m. March 27, 2025.

He is accused on Jan. 27, 2025 of having in his possession in a vehicle he was operating two altered airsoft pistols or imitation firearms located in his vehicle after he had been convicted in Lincoln County District Court on Jan. 3, 2017 of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Supplemental information filed in the case by Assistant DistrictAttorney KellyTrimble shows McAnally has five other previous convictions.

They include: On Jan. 3, 2017 in Lincoln County District Court child endangerment; Jan. 3, 2017 Lincoln County District Court, endangering others while eluding/attempting to elude police; Jan. 25, 2017 in Pottawatomie County District Court, possession of a stolen vehicle; Jan. 25, 2017 in Pottawatomie County District Court possession of a firearm in commission of a felony; and on Jan. 25, 2017 in Pottawatomie County District Court, unlawful use of police radio.
