Rotarians of Month announced

Adrianna Rivera and Lily Milam have been selected as Rotarians of the Month for March by the Chandler Rotary Club.

Adrianna Rivera is the daughter of Elizeo Rivera and Amanda Lutz. She has attended Chandler Public Schools for six years.

Adrianna has maintained a 4.0 GPA, completed three years of Honors English, and is one of Chandler’s Valedictorians for the Class of 2026. She was also chosen to be Lion of the Month for November. She has been attending Gordon Cooper Technology Center as a business student for the past two years. During that time, she has earned multiple certifications, such as, Fundamentals of Technology, Workplace Readiness, Job Seeking and Retention Skills, Financial Literacy, and Communications and Leadership. Adrianna has also been on the honor roll all throughout high school and has earned multiple awards for academic excellence in her regular high school classes as well as an outstanding student award for trigonometry at Gordon Cooper and a National Recognition Award from Big Future.

Adrianna has been a part of the Chandler choir for five years starting as an Unlimited Sounds member in eighth grade and ending as a senior in Music Makers. She is currently the vice president. Throughout her years in choir she has earned many awards during contests. Including ratings of excellence for solo performances as well as Sweepstakes as a whole choir. She also earned an outstanding performer award during the Heartland Music Festival.

In addition to choir, Adrianna is a two year member of Gordon Cooper Technology Center’s BPA chapter and is currently serving as their president. She also has been a part of their National Technical Honor Society for two years. She is a part of God’s House of Prayer where she has helped with filling up their pantry as well as going to God and People’s Pantry. She also has helped with Unity in the Community and other events sponsored by CIC. In doing that she has earned the title of Diplomat for Torch Awards in BPA for her commitment to helping others. She was also given the Good Citizen Citation from the American Legion for attending the Oklahoma Girls State of 2025.

After graduation Adrianna plans to attend Oklahoma State University to pursue a degree in both Entrepreneurship’s Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Hospitality and Tourism.

Lily Milam is the daughter of Rusty and Ginger Milam. Lily has been a lifelong resident of Chandler and has attended Chandler Public Schools since Pre-K.

Milam is a valedictorian and is a member of the Oklahoma High School Honor Society and has received the Academic Excellence Award throughout high school. She is currently ranked 1st in her class in academics. She has completed nine credit hours of concurrent college classes and will have completed 15 credit hours by the end of this semester.

Milam plays the tuba/ sousaphone in the Chandler band and has been a part of helping win various competitions. Lily has competed playing the concert tuba where she has earned chair positions in the Cimarron Valley Honor Band for five years, ECOBDA for three years, OSSBDA All-State for two years, alternate positions at OKMEA for two years, and has received superior ratings in solo and ensemble competitions all throughout high school. She is ranked 11th in Oklahoma among high school tuba players.

Milam is a member of the Chandler Church of Christ and enjoys helping with various needs that arise. She volunteers to help clean the church building for several months out of the year and enjoys helping in other areas as-needed.

Milam has had the honor of being on the BancFirst Student Board during her senior year, as well as being a Lion of the month for the Lions Club.

Milam enjoys playing the piano, fishing, sewing, and tatting. She has been admitted to Oklahoma State University, where she plans to obtain a degree in chemistry and play tuba/sousaphone in the OSU band. Her long-term goal is to attend optometry school to become an optometrist.
