A Stroud woman, one of two people charged with kidnapping and robbery, has made her initial appearance and a judge has scheduled her preliminary hearing.
A $75,000 bench warrant remains in effect for the man who also faces the same charges.
Formal felony charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon and kidnapping were filed in Lincoln County District Court Jan. 12 against Cheyenne Briana Lewis, 26, of Stroud and Khyron Daun Sharif, 32, of Chandler.
A $75,000 bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of Sharif. The warrant was issued the same day charges were filed.
Lewis, who was arrested and transported to the Lincoln County Jail in Chandler, appeared before Special Judge Emily Mueller on Jan. 6. Judge Mueller set her bond at $100,000. Lewis made her initial appearance on Jan. 19 and Judge Mueller scheduled her preliminary hearing for March 30.
In the robbery with a dangerous weapon count, Lewis and Sharif are accused on Jan. 5 this year in Lincoln County of acting jointly and willfully to take from Tristan Fuller personal property consisting of lawful United States currency which was in Fuller’s possession and on her person and in her immediate presence. The charge further alleges this was done against Fuller’s will by threatening her with a dangerous weapon, a baton and causing her to fear she was in immediate danger of unlawful injury or death.
The kidnapping charge against the two alleges that on that same day they acted jointly and forcibly and without authority seizing and confining Fuller with the intent to cause her to be confined against her will.
In a probable cause affidavit filed in the case, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Detective George Kelly Coleman states he responded to a call from Tristan Fuller calling and reporting that her vehicle had been stolen. She advised that Sharif and Lewis had hit her with a baton and stolen her vehicle.
Coleman notes in the affidavit that Com. Center had dispatched Sac and Fox Officer Andrew Nguyen to an address on 3520 Road in Stroud because all on duty Lincoln County patrol deputies were on calls.
