Brandon Barnett in Count 1 is accused on March 1, 2023 in Lincoln County of committing the crime of trafficking in a Controlled Dangerous Substance, marijuana, by processing 25 pounds or more of marijuana.
Count 2 alleges on the same day he committed the crime of possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony by possessing a Glock 9mm handgun and/or a Taurus handgun while in the commission of trafficking in controlled dangerous substance.
Brandi Barnett is accused on March 1 this year of maintaining a home at 333061 Appaloosa Court in Lincoln County where she knew that marijuana was being kept and/or distributed.
Lincoln County Investigator Tanner Hand, in a probable cause affidavit filed in the case, stated he served a search warrant on March 1 at 333061 Appaloosa Court, McLoud, in Lincoln County in connection with a drive-by shooting that occurred on Feb. 28 this year.
He said the occupants in the residence were ordered outside, two male individuals were detained and seated at the bottom of the stairs to the front porch. An adult female and child were allowed to remain inside the residence due to cold weather and high winds.
Lincoln County Investigator Larry Stover, Sr., interviewed both male subjects and Lincoln County Investigator Kelly Coleman searched the residence.
Hand said those inside the residence when officers arrived were J.F., a 16-year-old male, Haley Holland, Brandon Barnett and N.B, 2-year-old female.
As investigators searched the house, they found a backpack containing two handguns. One was a Glock 43 9mm. The firearm had a loaded drum magazine and had a round in the chamber, Hand reported.
He said the second handgun was a Taurus 40 S&W with a loaded magazine but did not have a round in the chamber.
The Glock handgun was seized in connection with the drive-by shooting, Tanner said.
According to the affidavit, Investigator Coleman located a large amount of a green leafy substance he knew was marijuana.
Hand said while processing the evidence collected he got an estimated weight of 27 pounds of marijuana, counted 83 zip lock baggies, each containing 50 marijuana cigarettes with a total count of 4,150 marijuana cigarettes from those 83 baggies.
