Billy Dewayne Austin of Chandler was born January 24, 1949, in Chandler. He died Friday, December 25, 2020, at his home. He was 71 years old.
Austin, the son of Oran and Naoma Rose (D ollison) Austin, married Trudy Webb on May 10, 1970, in Chandler.
A 1967 graduate of Chandler High School, he served in the United States Army and worked as a diesel engineer for Phillips Petroleum. He attended Friends Church.
He was preceded in death by his father; son, Jeffrey Scott Austin; brothers, Gary Austin and Bob Helm; and two infant brothers, Ricky and Jimmy.
Survivors include his mother; his wife; brothers, Wendell Helm, Ben Helm and David Helm; sisters, Carroll Myers, Marie Boggs, Brenda Rich and Pam Pratt; and other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
