A memorial service will be held for Dan Gibson Thomsen at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Trinity Baptist Church in Wellston. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
Thomsen was born September 17, 1942, in Oklahoma City and died Sunday, December 5, 2021, in Oklahoma City. He was 79 years old.
The son of George Washington and Mary Esther (Bryant) Gibson, he married Angela Treat on August 24, 1980.
A 1963 Chandler High School graduate, he had a career as a semi-truck cross-country driver. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his brother George Wes and three sisters, Deana, Milly and Lily.
Survivors include his wife Angie of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie and Brian Hatton and Rebecca and Michael Woodside of Edmond, Okla.; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Kay and Max Martin of Blackfoot, Idaho; seven grandchildren; and other family and friends.
