Donald Miller passed peacefully, surrounded by his wife, children and father, November 24, 2022. His care has been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing.
Donald was born May 20, 1971, in Kingfisher Oklahoma to Gerald D and Shirley (Stubblefield) Miller.
At a very early age he showed off his talent for all things mechanical when he took his mom’s new lawn mower apart. He loved the puzzle of all things mechanical. He worked in a Tractor Shop outside of Tryon, building Natural Gas Compressors with Leo and Tim Potter. He then moved on to the oilfield where he began with Goober Drilling then Keen Energy, Horizon Energy and Legacy Drilling where he remained until COVID19 closed almost everything. He spent the next two years growing medical marijuana in an effort to develop and grow a strain for severe pain. He succeeded. Donald loved helping people. He always had a cooler full of drinks at the girls softball games. He would load our grill and spend the morning grilling burgers for the city carriers (everyone in the building actually) at his wife’s office during the Food Drive. Most weekends were spent working on the project truck with his son Chance. A project both were proud of. Thanks Rodney! Teach them to love cars and they’ll be too broke to act up.
Donald met the love of his life, Christy while they were still in High School. They were married at 16 & 19 and spent 32 years together. They were blessed with two daughters, Keri and Brittany, and one son Chance.
Donald is survived by his wife Christy Miller, his father Gerald D Miller and two brothers. His daughters Keri Gibson and Brittany Savage and husband Alex and Chance Miller and wife Brookelynn; eight grandchildren, seven grandsons, Amadeus, Alegend, Belmonte (his twin), Hero, Kyson, Elliott and Jenson, One granddaughter, Kalli and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Beloved Mother Shirley, his maternal grandparents Carvelle and Eulene Stubblefield, paternal grandparents Emel T Miller and Marie Bouska and an infant brother.
A celebration of Donald’s life was held on December 2, 2022 in the Palmer Marler Funeral Home chapel.
