Gerald “Jerry” Arthur Zimpel was born September 30, 1938, in Curtiss, Wis., and died Sunday, August 9, 2020, in Chandler. He was 81 years old.
Zimpel, the son of Arthur and Carrie (Nelson) Zimpel, married Wilda Donnell Sparks on September 4, 1976.
He served in the United States Air Force and worked as a truck driver.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his daughter Creta Powers and his son Jason Bradshaw.
Survivors include his wife Donnell Zimpel of Stroud; his daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Ed White; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Richard Zimpel, Delbert Zimpel and Harvey “Bud” Zimpel; his sister Carol Kirkpatrick; and other family and friends.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, September 12, 2020, at Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
The family requests that those attending wear a mask. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Services in Stroud.
