James Van Jennings, was born January 10, 1963 and died on Saturday, November 19, 2022.
Jimmy was locally sourcing his food years before chefs in California started the trend.
He excelled at building new things out of old, finding new ways (and hats) to feel more important, and let’s not forget his talent for making (and raising) canes.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Whiteman, his grandmother, sister Barbara Norman, sister- in-law Cindy Jennings, nephew and many aunts, uncles, and cousins He is survived by his mother Ruth Whiteman; brothers Larry Don and Jerry Don Jennings; sisters Reda Huffman and Doreen Rupert; children Amanda McGuire, LaTisha Webb, James Jennings, and Tabatha Simpson; and many grandkids, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A graveside service was held at Rossville Cemetery on November 29th at 2 pm under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
