Joan (Yates) Miller passed away on December 24, 2022 in Stroud, OK. She was born January 27, 1928 to Jack and Elizabeth (Bowman) Yates in Woodson, Texas.
During her youth, Joan lived in Oklahoma and Colorado. She met Hoyt Miller and they got married June 15, 1948. Joan worked at the garment factory while she attended nursing school. She got her LPN then went on and became an RN. Joan worked almost 50 years as the head charge nurse at Stroud Hospital, retiring at the age of 86.
Joan is survived by one daughter Sharon Trimmell and husband Boyd, one granddaughter; sister LaDelle Roundtree; as well as many extended family and friends. Her parents, husband Hoyt Miller; son Doyle Wayne Miller and 2 sisters and 1 brother have preceded her.
