Lorn Earl Starling was born July 12, 1939, in Carney, Okla., and died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020. He was 81 years old.
Starling, the son of Earl and Verdie (Gaither) Starling, married Patricia Hansen. Following her death, he married Dolores Smith.
He was pastor of First Assembly of God in Tryon and worked for Napa.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife; two brothers, Roy Starling and Glen Starling; and his sister Lola Mae Starling.
Survivors include his wife Dolores Starling; his daughter and son-in-law, Terri Starling and Dan Miller of Bristow, Okla.; his son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Anita Starling of Laverne, Okla.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his brother and sister-in-law, Don and Sue Starling of Oklahoma City; and other family and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at First Assembly Church of God in Carney officiated by Pastor Bo Gibbs. Burial followed at Carney Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
