Phyllis June (Mathes) Bryson of Stroud was born August 31, 1938, in Stroud and died Friday, May 14, 2021. She was 82 years old.
Bryson, the daughter of Lloyd and Minnie (Caudill) Mathes, married James H. Bryson on November 14, 1958, in Tecumseh, Okla.
She graduated from Hill’s Business College in Oklahoma City.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, her sister Lynda Northcott and brother-in-law Eddie Northcott.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Merry Bryson of Stillwater, Okla., and Gary and Elizabeth Bryson of Stroud; four grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 2-6 p.m., Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, Okla., which handled the final arrangements.
A funeral service will be 2 p.m., Monday, May 24, 2021, at First Assembly of God in Stroud with Pastor Jeromye Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Stroud Cemetery.
