Ralph Lynn Kirby III passed from this life on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, just a few days shy of his 64th birthday. He was doing what he loved with his faithful furry friend and driving buddy, Claire.
The son of Ralph Lynn Jr. and Evelyn Kirby, Lynn was born and raised in Winslow, Ariz. and later in life moved to Stroud, Okla. where he hung his hat when not over-the-road. He loved horses and was a true cowboy at heart.
He was preceded in death by his father Ralph Lynn Kirby Jr.
He was survived by his mother Evelyn Kirby; his only child, Tegan Kirby (Pat Mitchell); five grandchildren, Andruw, Rilee, Tristan, Morgan, and Cecilia; his three sisters, Kathy Garcia, Jacque Mitchell and Dee Pena (Thomas); and his bother, Jimmy Wemhoner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There are no words in the English dictionary that could begin to describe Lynn, but I am sure going to try. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, a great brother, adoring son and fun-loving uncle. Lynn was known for his quick-witted humor and cheerful character. He never met a stranger, and has made many friends in all the states he traveled. He was so kind and always willing to help anyone and everyone. His smile could light up a room and was so contagious that others would have no choice but to smile with him.
He served in the Army right out of high school; then became a truck driver. He was a truck driver for over 40 years with the last 15 spent with Hirschbach, who is honoring him for driving over two million miles. He was a dedicated and valued employee.
Dad, I am the luckiest girl in the world to be able to call you, my dad. You are loved and greatly missed. I will miss our long talks, where we never ran out of things to say. I miss you more than words can describe and love you even more.
