Raymond Black was born February 16, 1933, in Stroud, the youngest of four siblings. He died Friday, May 21, 2021, at the age of 88 years.
Black, the son of Lewis and Edna Black, married Billie Black in Arizona in 1953.
He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War as a machinegunner on a troop transport. He retired from Allied Manufacturing as a foreman.
Survivors include his wife, his son Kevin Black, two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and other family and friends.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Stroud First Assembly of God with burial following at Stroud Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
