Carmen Alice (Messer) Hurst was born to William Levi and Thelma Lavone (Ash) Messer on June 4, 1941, in Avery, Okla. She died Wednesday, April 20, 2022, in Tulsa, Okla., at the age of 80 years.
Hurst, a 1959 graduate of Kendrick High School, earned a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Tarrant County College in Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Chuck Hurst; and two brothers, John Lee Messer and Darrell Gene Messer.
Survivors include her two daughters and their spouses, Michele and Jennifer Hurst of Arlington, Texas, and Kim and Will Fine of Stroud; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and other family and friends.
Services were held Monday, April 25, 2022 at Stroud Christian Church with Pastor Will Fine officiating. A graveside service followed under the care services of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
