Gary Dean Jantz, formerly of Wellston, was born April 3, 1939, in Isabella, Okla.
He died Wednesday, March 30, 2022, in Riley, Kan., at the age of 83 years.
Jantz, the son of Dave and Mabel (Koehn) Jantz, married Ellen Elizabeth Vails on November 17, 1962.
He retired from the Oklahoma Natural Gas Company and raised cattle.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his brother Robert “Mac” Jantz; an infant son and an infant daughter.
Survivors include his wife Ellen Jantz of Riley; his daughter Vikki, one granddaughter and one grandson, all of Manhattan, Kan.; his sister Jean Jantz of Yukon, Okla.; two brothers, Donald Jantz and Darrel Jantz, both of Fairview, Okla.; his sister-in-law Donna Jantz of Cushing, Okla.; and other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2022, at Lehman Funeral Home in Wellston, which handled the final arrangements. A celebration of life will be 2 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Wellston Christian Church with burial to follow at the Wellston Cemetery.
