Loretta Ellen Stokes was born January 2, 1947, in Oklahoma City and died Thursday, September 9, 2021, in Edmond, Okla. She was 74 years old.
Stokes, the daughter of Jesse and Irene (Fentner) Bynum, married Gary Grandstaff in August 1963. Following his death, she married Charles Stokes in November 1985.
She was also preceded in death by her father , an infant son Vernon Grandstaff, her son-in-law Aaron Boss and an infant grandson.
Survivors include her mother Irene of Spencer; her husband Chuck of the home; her daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Brian Key of Claremore, Okla.; stepchildren, Cheryl Branch of Tecumseh, Okla., Jonnie (Stokes) Myers and husband Doug of Luther, Okla., Charles Stokes Jr. and wife Shelly of Wellston; and 10 grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses, Jesse Ray and Rhonda Bynum, Jimmy and Linda Bynum, Kenny and Denise Bynum, Carol Butts, Lois and Roy Shipp; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 14, 2021, in the chapel of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston, which handled the final arrangements. The Rev. Doyle Seeley officiated and burial followed at Arlington Memory Gardens Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
