Philip Dean Lambert was born Feb. 17, 1945 in Logan, West Virginia to Frank and Armelda (Nester) Lambert. He died peacefully June 3, 2022 in Stroud, Okla. at the age of 77.
He served 6 years in the Army National Guard. He spent his career being a truck driver for 45 years and then enjoyed a long retirement spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids, playing his guitar and listening to George Strait.
He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Armelda Lambert of West Virginia; brothers, Otis, Jim Ed, and Leroy; sisters, Opal, Irene, and Violet; and two great-grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara Lambert of the home; daughters, Christie Mattheyer and spouse Eddie of Davenport, Okla., Linda Fall and spouse Brian of Gillette, Wyo., and Opal Keen and spouse Rob of Lincoln, Ark.; siblings, Tressie Darmen and Marty Spake; 10 grandkids; and 16 great-grandkids.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at 10 a.m. at the Independent Baptist Church in Davenport, Oklahoma, with interment following at Stroud Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home in Wellston, Oklahoma.
