Ruth Mae Meteer was born on April 15, 1931 in Chandler, Okla. and died Aug. 5, 2022 at the age of 91 Ruth attended Chandler schools until she married Sonny Rush and they had a son they named Charles Glen. After their divorce, she met and married Harlan Meteer.
They had two daughters Vera Mae and Edna Jo. Ruth was the mother of three children, five grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, William and Edna Rackley; five brothers; four sisters; and her daughter, Vera Verner. Survivors include her son, Charles Rush (Cindy) of Chandler; daughter, Edna Rogers of Chandler; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; along with other family and friends. A funeral was held on Aug. 10, 2022 in the Lehman Funeral Home Chapel in Wellston. Interment followed at the Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler.
