Virginia Lee Corter was born March 19, 1939, in San Juan, Texas, and died Saturday, September 25, 2021, at her home in Parkland. She was 82 years old.
Corter, the daughter of Gilbert Hall and Ara Leola (Dobbs) Hall, married Eddie Roberts on November 20, 1953, in Oklahoma City. Following his death, she married Carl Herrmann on March 18, 1962. After his death, she married Melfouse Corter on May 3, 2003.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Nicky Herrmann, Tom Corter and Tim Corter; her daughter Rosemary Corter; two sisters, Wanda Freeman and Betty Solomon; two brothers, Dwayne Hall and Lawson Hall; and sister-in-law Louise Hall.
She was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of The Firstborn.
Survivors include her husband Melfouse; her children and their spouses, Gary and Nancy Roberts of Tryon, Deborah and Mike Reeves of Meeker, Randall Herrmann and Matilda of Ripley, Rodney and Christina Herrmann and Christy and Shannon Kessler, all of Agra, Margaret and Tim Arden of Midwest City, Sandra and Monte Moss of Vici, and Charles and Tina Corter of Choctaw.
She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Donna Hall and Velma Huckabay; 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; and other family and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Parkland Church of the Firstborn with burial following at Parkland Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, Okla.
