We experienced another good week of meeting at the lake for the Quapaw 15 Project. The diver came with a crew of four and a boat and they went out into the water to the concrete water tower and successfully closed the bottom door on the tower, which was a major ordeal to close. This will enable us to drain the water from the tower to the blind gate valve and run a camera up the line for inspection. If the inspection turns out good, it will save us thousands of dollars for the project. The camera crew will be in town next Monday for the inspection. Then Thursday will be another meeting with the rehab design group. I will keep you posted on these meetings.
On to a report for streets and alleys. The guys repaired the ruts in the alley behind the ice cream store and then we topped off the repair with oneand-a-half-inch crusher run. The rutted-out places on Koonce were graded by Lincoln county workers and we had the county truck drivers bring in emulsified granite to smooth the bad areas. This granite will help until we can secure a grant for asphalt.
A trip is scheduled next week to inspect the playground equipment more to come about that.
Remember the citywide clean up starts May 23rd and lasts until May 31st.

It is a good to hear the Meeker High School graduation ceremony will be held at the football field June 4, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. Students will be in the grandstands, parents and grandparents will need to bring a chair to sit on the playing field.
Plan B for rain is to use the gym with tickets for limited seating.
Employees at City Hall were sent home Thursday morning at 9 a.m. because of no electricity, computer, or phone service. The auxiliary generator did kick on for minimal lights in City Hall. It would not provide enough power for all the lights or to run the computers or phones. Everyone was able to return to work at City Hall Friday. The crews did have to cut tress and limbs that were in the streets from the storm that blew through the town at approximately sixty to eighty miles per hour. OG&E power has been restored and Vyve had to come to City Hall to restore phones and internet services.
Meeker Police Department now has a police tip line.
