Chandler, Prague, Stroud and Davenport open the football playoff season Friday night, with all but Davenport having a home game.
The Lions host Hennessey at 7 p.m. at Joe Telford Stadium, Prague hosts the Hugo Buffaloes at 7 p.m. and the district champion Tigers host Chelsea.
Davenport finished third in its district and will road-trip to Pioneer. With wins, they would advance to next week’s second round, with Chandler facing the winner of Davis and Frederick and the Red Devils taking on the winner of Victory Christian and Pawhuska. If Chandler and Prague win their first two games, they would meet in round 3.
Stroud would take on the winner of Pocola and Commerce in the second round. A win would put them in into the third round against either Fairview, Snyder, Christian Heritage or Stratford.
The early Friday forecast calls for classic football weather, with a predicted high of 48 and a low of 34.
Military veterans and a guest will be admitted free to first-round games and veterans will be honored during the games.
