DLPs head to state... again

Chandler, Prague, NRC, McLoud in Super Regionals

The Dale Lady Pirates will be after their eighth fastpitch state championship this week.

The DLPs will open play as the top seed in Class 2A and will face Crescent at 10 a.m. Thursday on Field 1 at Firelake.

With a win over Crescent, Dale will face the winner of Tushka vs. Vanoss at 10 a.m. on Friday on Field 1.

In the other side of the bracket are Pocola, Wilburton, Merritt and Warner.

Dale won the fastpitch championship in 2024, 2023, 2018, 2017, 2014, 2013, and 2003.

Chandler and Prague have advanced to the Class 3A Super Regionals.

The Lady Lions, who won their regional against Commerce and Heavener by a combined score of 35-2 travel to Adair for games scheduled for 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Chandler is ranked No. 9 and has a 28-12 record.

Prague has a much shorter drive: to Bethel.

The Red Devils won their regional against Tishomingo and Casady by a combined score of 38-1 and knocked off Chandler in a non-playoff game Monday by a 12-5 count.

Prague is ranked No. 10 and carries a 27-10 record into the Super Regional.

McLoud and North Rock Creek are playing in Class 4A Super Regionals.

McLoud, ranked No. 12, travels to Grove for its bestof- three Super Regional. The Lady Redskins are 28-10.

NRC, ranked No. 15, heads to Blanchard. The Lady Cougars are 21-8 under firstyear coach Mike Cox.

The Class 3A and 4A state tournaments will be next week at Firelake.
