Wednesday, Sept. 1
Lt. Phipps and Ofc. Berry arrested Miguel Gonzales Maurico Jr. on 15 th St. after observing erratic driving. Maurico was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, failure to yield for emergency vehicle, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, left of center and transporting open container. The vehicle was impounded.
Ofc. Wells and Chief Mattheyer arrested Andrea Lynette Long at OnCue for possession of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was impounded.
Ofc. Berry arrested Sara Vanfossen at a residence on Hwy. 18 on a municipal warrant for failure to appear on charges of expired tag and driving under suspension.
Saturday, Sept. 4
Ofc. Mustard stopped a driver for an expired tag. The driver was cited for failure to register motor vehicle (used) and failure to carry insurance. The vehicle was impounded.
Monday, Sept. 6
Ofc. Berry stopped a driver for no tag lamps. Mickey Ray Wilson was arrested for driving under suspension, no insurance, possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia and transporting open container of beer. The vehicle was impounded.
Lt. Phipps responded to On The Way on E. 1 st St. regarding a stolen vehicle. A report was taken.
Wednesday, Sept. 8
Lt. Phipps & Assistant Chief Wells responded to S. Iowa regarding an assault with a dangerous weapon. Brandon Lee Burns was later arrested on E. 10 th St. for assault with a dangerous weapon.
Thursday, Sept. 9
Ofc. Batman responded to Walmart in reference to vandalism to a truck.
Ofc. Hawkins took a report at the police station of illegal use of a debit card.
Friday, Sept. 10
Ofc. Batman & Ofc. Hawkins responded to McDonalds in reference to a female pointing a firearm. Janet Marie Hayes was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. A child was released to the father.
Saturday, Sept. 11
Ofc. Hawkins responded to E. 8 th St. in reference to phone/internet cable stolen from a bridge construction site.
