Fighting harassment, assault in schools

Months after the regional Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) launched a campaign on sexual harassment and assault in schools in the area, they are still reaching out to help more victims and taking steps to help school employees better address these cases.

Local boxer wins WPBF world title

Bo Gibbs Jr. has always been around boxing. His father boxed when he was a kid, and Gibbs said he passed that love on to all his kids. His dad influenced him, but there was so much more that drew him to the sport.

Tatum Crouch and Gage Crews were selected as Rotarians of the Month for November by the Rotary Club.Tatum Crouch is the daughter of Jason and Robin Crouch and has one younger sibling, Chloe Crouch. She has a 4.0 GPA and is ranked first in her class.

Meeker board of education meeting

Meeker Board of Education members this week accepted the resignations of two personnel and hired an adjunct teacher along with approving the date and place for high school graduation.

Plea entered in embezzlement case

A Meeker man charged early this year with two counts of embezzlement, has pleaded not guilty and his case has been set for disposition.

$50k bench warrant issued

A $50,000 bench warrant has been issued for a defendant who recently failed to show up for a jury trial call docket on five charges.

Sentence on amended drug charge

A Davenport man facing a felony drug count and two other charges following his arrest by a Lincoln County Deputy has been sentenced on an amended misdemeanor possession count.
