Language set for ballot on county EMS district

Lincoln County commissioners have approved the language for a ballot proposition to submit to the people creating an Emergency Medical Service District to provide ambulance services to all county residents.

Lincoln County commissioners during a special meeting this week approved the purchase of software for the county and also approved contract labor for the Opioid Abatement grant administrator.Commissioners voted 2-1 to purchase Isolved HR Software for $45,225.

No contest plea in homicide

A Harrah man facing a manslaughter charge or in the alternative negligent homicide has pleaded no contest to the lesser count and has been fined.A formal charge of second degree manslaughter, a felony, or in the alternative negligent homicide, was filed in Lincoln County District Court Aug.

More than 25 years ago, out of desperation to pay to treat his mother’s cancer, Tracy Sneed got involved in selling drugs to make ends meet, leading to his conviction in court where he received a 52-year sentence in jail.
