We listened to our Governor Stitt at lunch today and it looks like sometime at the first of May, Oklahoma will be opening back up. As good as that sounds it will still be done slow and in phases. Phase 1, 2 & 3. It all depends on what our medical experts advise.

A bad attitude about cats

I’m convinced Brian’s cat has been practicing ninja skills. Yes, Brian’s cat. I made it clear when we married that I was not adopting the cats. I’m begrudgingly cohabitating with them. The nearby presence of a cat will trigger instant sneezing, wheezing and itching for me.

Happenings at Prairie Pointe

If you stay positive in a negative situation, you win and that’s exactly what we are doing at Prairie Pointe. Sure, we miss our family and friends and the ability to go and come as we please.

Stroud Food Pantry

The Stroud Food Pantry volunteers are continuing their services to the community amidst the pandemic. Groceries are being delivered directly to the patrons’ cars so that they do not have to enter the building. Commodities are also being distributed through the drive through service.

Prague accepts resignation, approves annual audit

After a 15 minute executive session at the monthly school board meeting, the Prague School Board approved the resignation of Garan Qualls. Other actions made by board members include: Approval of the Consent Agenda including the minutes of the Mar. 9 regular meeting and the Mar.

More snakes

Last week I bragged about our resident king snakes and how they eat other snakes and had cleared The Five Acres of Pygmy rattlers So, imagine my disappointment a couple of days later when a Pygmy rattler went a-slithering across the driveway.

The news media is hinting about maybe backing off on our COVID-19 Quarantine. I know this has been very hard for a lot of us to do. Maybe we will look back and see that it was the right thing to do after all.
