Dale school board meeting

Dale School principals updated Board of Education members recently on current school enrollment numbers. The board also voted approval of a plan using Esser III funds. Elementary Principal Tamee Daniel advised the board there are 335 students in grades Pre-K through fourth grade.

North Rock Creek overcame two 30-minute lightning delays to take a triple-overtime 18-12 victory over Little Axe Thursday night. The Cougars got the winner in the third overtime when quarterback Caleb Harkins hit the end zone on a quarterback sweep.

Davenport falls to Oklahoma Bible

The Davenport Bulldogs suffered a stinging setback last Friday night in their season opener on the road, losing to Oklahoma Bible Academy 46-0. Veteran Davenport Coach John Greenfield said this week, “Oklahoma Bible is solid, they’re pretty good. We didn’t play very well either,” he noted.

Chandler, North Rock Creek and Stroud scrimmaged during Zero Week, with Chandler hosting Heritage Hall and North Rock Creek going to Stroud.
The Chandler Junior High football team went into full Pistols Firing mode last week during a tour of the Oklahoma State University football facilities. The team got to see the weight room, film room, coaches offices, meeting rooms, athletic cafeteria, indoor practice field and Boone Pickens Stadium. After eating, the team was playing football on the outside turf field and OSU head coach Mike Gundy walked by and took this picture with them.
