Fast pitch regionals matchups

The Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association has released the pairings for the regional fast pitch tournaments. Most games are set for Thursday and Friday, but some tournaments have moved to Wednesday and Thursday in anticipation of rain storms forecasted later in the week.

Dale wins baseball district

The Dale Pirates are once again Class A District champions after pounding Calumet twice and Okarche once and earning a regional tournament berth this week. Dale will take on Calera at Canute at 4 p.m. Thursday. Dale’s season record is now 21-9.

Demons 42, Lions 14

Chandler closed out its non-district schedule Friday with a 42-14 loss at Beggs. The game was still within three scores in the fourth quarter, but depth became a problem as the Lions had several players leave the field with injuries.

Conference champ

It was a busy week for North Rock Creek junior Jordan Coody. On Tuesday, he ran the 5K at the North Canadian River Conference meet, held at North Rock Creek’s course. He lead-footed the gas off the starting line and never slacked off.

Bulldogs cruise past Alex

The Davenport Bulldogs ran their record to 3-0 as they earned their first shutout of the year, defeating Alex 48-0 last week on the road. The Class B Bulldogs start a string of four consecutive home games this Friday night hosting Strother. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. at Bulldog Stadium.
