Joann Page, 79, of Davenport, Oklahoma, passed away on Easter morning, April 20, 2025. Born on January 19, 1946, in Rich Hill, Missouri, Joann lived a life defined by love, family, and faith. She was the beloved wife of Burt Page, who preceded her in death on May 16, 2005.

Kline elected state FFA president

Last Week North Rock Graduate Cooper Kline was elected Oklahoma FFA President.Kline graduated from North Rock Creek in 2024 and now attends Oklahoma State University as a sophomore majoring in Ag Education with a minor in lobbying and campaign management.

Injunction filed in St. Cloud demolition

An injunction was filed against the City of Chandler over the demolition of the St. Cloud buildings on May 5, according to a court filing. A temporary restraining hearing will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, May 16, overseen by Judge Joseph Dobry.

Stroud man faces trial on eight charges

A trial has been scheduled for a Stroud man facing eight felonies following his arrest by officers and who has been bound over and has pleaded innocent.Formal charges were filed Sep. 24, 2024 in Lincoln County District Court against Acey Ambrose Murphy, 33.

A Stroud man who previously has been convicted of at least six felonies faces a new felony and two misdemeanors following his arrest by officers.Formal charges were filed March 19, 2025, in Lincoln County District Court against Buddy Ray Pittman, 39.

Titles for Stroud, Dale, NRC

Stroud’s Peyton Davis brought home three gold medals and broke two state records last week, headlining an impressive week for area athletes.Davis, a junior, won the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes and the 100-meter hurdles, setting new Class 2A records in the 200 and the 100 hurdles.
