Students raise money for burn victim

The community of Chandler has come together yet again to help a local family.Members of the Student Council at Chandler Junior High are currently organizing the Walk for Will fundraiser, aiming to raise money to support the Conley-Fergusons as they recover from the tragedy of the March wildfires.

Lincoln County commissioners this week during a special meeting adopted a resolution for erosion control and retention at the Fairgrounds.They also approved a plat for Oakwood Valley in District 1.

Randy Gene Flowers, age 72, of Meeker, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in his home on April 21, 2025.Randy was born on October 3, 1952, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He graduated from Meeker High School in 1970, where he was a talented student, athlete, and musician.

Chandler’s slowpitch season came to an end Monday at Tecumseh, as the Lady Lions lost a pair of games to Purcell and Bethel. They finished the season with a 20-8 record and ranked No. 7 in the season.

Outage halts Park Road testing

State testing at Park Road Elementary School in Chandler was postponed after a downed power line partially disrupted power to the school, according to Superintendent Scott Baade.Severe storms moved through the area early Tuesday morning, bringing heavy rain, strong winds and some hail.
