Dale baseball heads to state

The Dale High School baseball team once again is headed into the state tournament after capturing a regional championship last weekend on its home field. The Pirates will play their opener today against Morrison at 4 p.m. on Palmer Field at Dolese Park in Oklahoma City.

A parent of a Special Needs student called for the termination of a Meeker School District employee during a Board of Education meeting Monday night. Cassie Beeson addressed the board during the public comments session of the meeting, saying, “I am here to take a stand on behalf of my daughter.

Jury trials set for Stroud man in two cases

Jury trials have been scheduled for a Stroud man in two separate cases, one of which he is accused of assaulting two police officers. Steven Eugene Laffoon, 52, of Stroud, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court last Aug.
