In this crazy world we live in these days, it’s really easy to get caught up in everything that surrounds us. If we lose focus, it can give us a negative outlook on life and draw us away from all the positives there are.Don’t know about you, but I find myself in a funk sometimes.

Oklahomans who are supporting open state primary elections are a step closer to beginning a petition drive. If the petition is ruled sufficient, it would be on the General Election ballot in November of 2026.Last week, the State Supreme Court voted to give that drive the go ahead.

Beta Sigma Phi meets

Summer break is over and on August 26th Beta Sigma Phi sisters gathered to catch up, enjoy some delicious food, exchange secret sister gifts and go over the new year to come. Members were also blessed with the opportunity to welcome new sister, Nancy Stephenson, into the chapter.

Meeker FFA Chapter Officers recently attended the Chapter Officer Leadership Training (COLT) Conference, held at the Embassy Suites in Norman, Oklahoma. This year’s conference carried the theme “Take Aim”, encouraging FFA leaders to focus on their goals in leadership.

Former substitute teacher found dead in home

A substitute teacher under investigation was found deceased in his home late morning on Sept. 18.The medical examiner has yet to determine the cause of death, said Chandler Police Chief Matt Mattheyer.
