4-H Members from across the county gathered Tuesday, Sept. 24 at the Agri-Civic Center in Chandler for the annual 4-H Achievement Banquet. The theme for the banquet was “Finding the Treasure of 4-H.” Dinner was catered by the 4-H Leaders Council and sponsored by Mike and Sandy Bendele and The Stangl Family.
During the awards ceremony county medals and certificates were presented as follows.

Debbie Terronez was recognized for 25 Years of Service and was also awarded the Lifetime Leader award for 2019.
The county 4-H Safety Award was presented to Abel Brown.

The County Dairy Awards went to Beginner Mallory Poteet and Advanced Delaney Haley.
The Bread Award Senior Advanced Demonstration was presented to Lilyana Sestak for Intermediate Demonstration and Seth Stone in Advance Demonstration.
The Dairy Judging Award went to Mattie Dornan and Sage Dornan.
State Awards were presented to Ethan Stone in the Bread category and Mallory Poteet for her Dairy Presentation.
The 2019 Honorary 4-H Membership recipients were Cindy Schoenecke and Don Schoenecke. The “Friend of 4-H” award was given to Photography by Denise.
The 2019 Officer Team was installed. They are Jared Stone, president; Baylee Bowen, first vice president; Lilyana Sestak, second vice president; Ethan Stone, third vice president; McKayla Hunt, secretary; Kyndra Darphin, reporter; Abel Brown, recreational leader; and Christian Moehle, parliamentarian.
Senior 4-H Scholarships for continuing education were presented to Lilyana Sestak and Jared Stone.
The Trip Award is presented to a senior member based on merit competition and can only be won once in a 4-H career. Receiving the delegate position for Citizenship Washington Focus were Jared Stone and Ethan Stone. Lilyana Sestak and Delany Haley were awarded the Denver Western Roundup Trip.
Outstanding Junior 4-H member is the highest achievement that a Junior member can attain in the county 4-H program. Selection is based on the total score of the 4-H Senior Record Book and the county interview. Outstanding 2019 Junior Member honors were presented to Trey Poteet.
The 2019 Hall of Fame Inductees were Sarah Armitage and Jaden Allen. This is the highest award achievable by a county 4-H senior member. These award winners receive an 11x14 portrait, a plaque and a watch.
