Mae “Mayo” Delores Crain was born September 16, 1928, in San Antonio, Texas. She died Friday, July 30, 2021, at the age of 92 years.
Crain, the daughter of Onofre H. “Ono” Hill and Feliz Tafolla, married Orin “Bud” Crain on September 16, 1946, in Kansas.
She used her skills as a seamstress and in finishing needlepoint at Orin’s Furniture Specialties. She was a teacher’s aide in Oklahoma City Public Schools and was a member of Church of Christ.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, her stepmother Beryl Austin, her brother Baldo, an infant daughter and daughter Linda Bradley.
Survivors include her brother Dennis; two sons, Matthew Crain and wife Lucinda and Mark Crain and Cathy Cowan; five grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; and other family and friends.
A funeral will be held 10 a.m., Friday, August 6, 2021, at Carbondale Church of Christ in Tulsa followed by a graveside service at 2 p.m. at the Lutheran Cemetery in Wellston. Local arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
