Darrell E. Lortz of Sapulpa, Okla., was born August 26, 1929, in Long Beach, Calif., and died Tuesday, July 27, 2021. He was 91 years old.
Lortz was the son of Charles Dewey and Ruth Ida (Mason) Lortz. He and his wife, Fredine “Freddie” J. (Clark) Lortz, had four children, Pamela Sue Golden, John E. Lortz, Thomas A. Lortz and Charles G. Lortz.
He served in the United States Marine Reserve and the Oklahoma Air National Guard and was activated during the Korean War. He retired from AT&T as a radio repairman.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, his daughter Pamela and son Thomas.
A Celebration of Life is planned for the family at Carney Cemetery. Care services were provided by Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Chandler.
