Felony charges

A Stroud man faces two felonies following his arrest by law enforcement officers from three agencies recently.

Thad Delacy Tucker, 35, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court last month with domestic assault and battery by strangulation and possession of firearm after former felony conviction.

Special Judge Emily Mueller set a $10,000 bond for Tucker. He made his initial appearance on Sep. 23 and at that time the judge scheduled his pre-preliminary hearing for 1:30 p.m. Dec. 2.

A condition of the bond is that Tucker have no contact with the victim.

In the domestic assault and battery by strangulation charge he is accused of committing an assault and battery on Torie Jackson by strangling or attempting to strangle her. Count 2 charges Tucker with possessing a firearm at his residence in Stroud after he was previously convicted of a felony in Lincoln County.

Supplemental information filed by the prosecutors shows Tucker was convicted June 13, 2014 in Lincoln County District Court of possession of a felony after prior felony conviction.

On Oct. 4, 2006 in Lincoln County District Court, he was convicted of two counts, unlawful possession of a Controlled Drug with intent to distribute and unlawful possession of a firearm while on probation.

On that same date, he was convicted in Lincoln County District Court of four counts of second degree burglary, theft of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and grand larceny.
