No serious injuries have been reported in either Lincoln or Pottawatomie County from the storms that moved across the area Sunday evening.
Lincoln County Emergency Management Director Brandon Morgan said Monday, “The storm damage I saw was mainly around U.S. 66/U.S. 177 to the east. There was a big barn that blew apart and trees twisted, but nothing too crazy though.”
Lincoln County District 2 Commissioner Marlon Miller said Monday about any damage, “a few trees last night, still looking today.”
District 1 Commissioner in Lincoln County Carl Munson reported, “Nothing other than a communication cable down on the road in the far north part of the district.”
District 3 Commissioner Lee Doolen said he didn’t know of any damage in his district.
Pottawatomie County Emergency Management Director Chad Larman said on Monday, “We had two brief tornadoes touch down in the Dale area with a barn that was significantly damaged and one of the awnings at the Grand Casino was damaged.”
Larman said he was told the barn is northeast of the Grand Casino.
A resident who resides further north of that area told the Lincoln County News the barn is west of the Dale school.
