Fowble and Haley are December Lions

Chandler High School seniors Dalton Fowble and Delaney Haley have been named December Lions of the Month by the Lion’s Club.

Dalton Fowble, the son of Eric and Virginia Fowble, maintains a 3.95 grade point average while taking concurrent college classes in addition to regular coursework.

He was selected to serve on the BancFirst Student Board of Directors and was awarded the Leadership Award for the 2020 football season.

He was on the CHS baseball team and participated in Business Professionals of America, Postponing Sexual Involvement and Positive Peers.

Dalton served the community through the food bank and his church youth group and helped with the Main Street Cleanup.

During high school, he worked in construction for Solid Rock Construction.

Following graduation, he plans to study at Seminole State College with a major in business and management.

Delaney Haley is the daughter of Ryan and Shelley Haley. She holds a 4.0 GPA while taking four years of advanced classes in English and a concurrent college class through Rose State Community College, Midwest City, Okla.

She is a member of both the Oklahoma and National Honor Societies and earned the Academic Excellence Award for four years. She was chosen to serve on the BancFirst Student Board of Directors and was an Oklahoma Girls State delegate.

Delaney has shown leadership capabilities while serving as president of the CHS chapter of National Honor Society and the Lincoln County Dairy Club. She was a Student Council Representative for three years and junior vice president of the OK Jersey Cattle Club. She is a recipient of the American Youth Leadership Danforth I Dare You Award.

During nine years in 4-H Club, she earned multiple honors including Oklahoma 4-H Citizenship Washington D.C. Focus Delegate, Lincoln County 4-H Hall of Fame Finalist, Oklahoma 4-H Dairy Project Scholarship winner, Oklahoma 4-H Advanced Agriculture Scholarship finalist and Lincoln County 4-H Outstanding Junior Member.

Among Delaney’s extracurricular activities are basketball, Future Farmers of America, golf, Positive Peers, Postponing Sexual Involvement and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Through her church, she was a crew leader for Vacation Bible School and served on the First United Methodist Church youth council.

Following graduation, she plans to attend a college in Oklahoma to pursue a degree in nursing working toward a career in pediatric nursing.
