Three people from Stroud were arrested recently by Lincoln County Sheriff deputies and Stroud police officers charged with acting in concert with one another.
Brandi Rae Brown, 47, Mavis Yevonne Brooks, 51, and Shawn Paul Brown, 26, each are charged with second degree burglary. They were formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on Nov. 9.
Associate District Judge Sheila Kirk set bond for Brandi Brown at $3,000 and ordered her to make her initial appearance at 1 p.m. Nov. 15.
She completed her ini tial appearance on Dec. 9 and was ordered to reappear with her attorney at 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 24, 2022.
Bond for Brooks has been set at $3,000 as well and her initial appearance is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Dec. 16.
Judge Kirk set bond for Shawn Paul Brown at $3,000 and his initial appearance was set for 1 p.m. Nov. 15.
On Dec. 9 his initial appearance was completed and he was ordered to reappear with his attorney at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 24, 2022.
Three trio is accused of acting together on Nov. 8 by bursting an open an exterior door at a house located at 900165 S. 3570 Road in Lincoln County and then entering into the building with the intent to steal property kept in the building.
Lincoln County Deputy Sheriff James Robinson states in a probable cause affidavit that around 2 p.m. on Nov. 8 he was dispatched to 9000165 S. 3570 Road in Lincoln County about a burglary in progress. As he was traveling to the scene, he was advised the property owner had blocked the gate to the three individu als couldn’t leave.
Robinson said that he arrived at the scene shortly after Deputy Jimmy Brown and two Stroud police officers. The three individuals on the property were identified as the three now charged and they were standing at a silver truck.
Though the truck did not have items in the bed of it when Robinson arrived, he was shown photos that reportedly had been loaded into the truck as the three individuals went in and out of the house taking items from it.
